Where is Pooch Picnic?

This year our Pooch Picnic is in North Essex, Colchester. The address is Bullbanks Farm, Halstead Road, Eight Ash Green, Colchester, CO6 3PT. We will have signs around so look out for the signs and you will be sure to see us!

 

When is the Pooch Picnic?

Sunday the 23rd June 2024, 10am until 4pm.

 

Can I bring my dog to the Pooch Picnic?

OF COURSE! All dogs are welcome, but we do ask that they are kept on leads and under control at all times.  

 

What about if I don’t have a dog?

Bring your picnic and enjoy the other four-legged friends around!

 

Do I need to book to come to the Pooch Picnic?

Yes, you will need to book tickets to come to Pooch Picnic to ensure we can safely open. Tickets cost £12 per car. The ticket includes access to the Pooch Picnic, field of fun area, photo opportunities and car parking. Each car visiting the Pooch Picnic will need a ticket.  If you are coming on foot then you will still need to purchase a car ticket for entry.

You will not be permitted entry to the site without a pre booked ticket.

 

Can I change my tickets/ get a refund?

Once you have booked your tickets, they are not transferable and non-refundable. 

The management reserves the right to cancel the event  if in their view extreme weather could cause damage to property or could render the site unsafe for use by the public. In these extreme circumstances the event could be postponed until a later date.

 

How much does it cost at the Pooch Picnic?

You will need to book a ticket to enter the Pooch Picnic and will not be permitted entry to the site without a pre booked ticket.  

Tickets are £12 per car.  

 

Is there Car Parking at the Pooch Picnic?

Yes the car parking is on grass fields and plentiful. Please follow the marshals as they will direct you where to park.  Please ensure that you adhere to the 5 miles per hour speed limit on site. Cars are parked at the owners' risk.

 

What about the Weather for picnicking?

We all know us British love talking about weather so we will be regularly updating Facebook and the website with weather updates and conditions so please check these for an update on conditions here at the Pooch Picnic! 

 

What do I need to bring with me?!

The WHOLE family, your tickets or a phone showing your tickets, your picnic, your four-legged friends, a camera to take lots of snaps and selfies of course!

You will also need to bring poo bags for any doggy mess from your dog as well as water and water bowls for your dog.

 

Are there any facilities?

There will be toilets available.

We will have The Fox Box selling light refreshments including hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and puppicinos! 

There will also be a licenced bar selling prosecco, beer and cider!

 

Do you take card payments?

Yes we do accept card payments and our preference is contactless payments where possible. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques. 

 

Can we bring wheelchairs?

Yes! We are a working farm and the picnic will be held in a grassy field, but these are wheelchair and pushchair accessible.

 

Can I take photos at the Pooch Picnic?

Of course WE love people taking photos at the fields and will have plenty of photo opportunities at the Pooch Picnic.

 

I have an XL bully, can we come to the picnic?

Yes, we welcome all dogs to the Pooch picnic! However, you will need keep them on a muzzle and lead as to meet government requirements.
